A Tale of Two Dances

I was going to attend a concert at Konserthuset this evening, when all of a suddenly loud music burst out in front of the concert hall's steps. Look who's there? A group of young blond girls dancing Carnival dance in their sexy outfit... Very brave girls if you ask me, because it was only around zero degree.

Inside the concert hall, director Alan Gilbert performed a totally different kind of dance as he conducted the Stockholm Philaharmonic Orchestra in its outstanding performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony # 7.

Longing for Warm Weather

There is a snowstorm here today. Very boring weather. When will winter end? Not very soon, I am afraid. That's why I want to post some pictures from a warm place--Southern California. I took those during a trip there in the Spring of 2001 and it was my "little sister" A. who took me around in her red hot convertible. I'll never forget the beautiful scenaries that I saw. 8-)

What do the Swedes do when the sun comes out?

Sunshine is very rare during the winter months. So whenever the sun shows its shy face, the Swedes come out of their hibernation and worship it. Many would stand in the sun facing it for a good few minutes, and nobody feels too shy about doing this! Having lived here through my third winter, I have also picked up on this funny habit, which I laughed at in the beginning. :-D 8-)

Sunny Day

The sun finally broke through the thick clouds after many gray and snowy days. Thick fluffy snow covers the entire field of Gärdet. It gave me much pleasure to stroll around and observe the details of this winter wonderland.
